Gorillaz are total Mindless Self Indulgence fans, yes or no? Or, the other way around? FANS OF EACH OTHER?

I mean, really, all of them (BASS PLAYER, DRUMS, GUITAR PLAYER, EVEN THE LEGS AND LITTLE ARMS EXCETRA.) are all in the exact same position!

Okay, well, of course I can see Jamie Hewlett being a total fan of them. Of course. I mean, he did do an album cover for them (\o/). I can see the actual band being fans, too - Jamie can incorporate it! He has that power!

I'm trying to figure out which came first. They both look like they could have come around the same sort of period. Like, I know for sure the Gorillaz picture is from around 2001-2002, but anyone wanna clarify the MSI one?

I will continue to find more evidence of this phenoni- phenomenon.

I've been relishing and rolling around through the news of Blur's comeback for the past week. I do hope they play a slot at Glastonbury festival because there is a slim chance I'd be able to see them at Hyde Park. Okay, well, depending on money, of course. Glastonbury is closer!

But I've read on NME that they are doing other gig dates? I'm very excited, you guys. I flicked through an NME magazine whilst I was in my college shop this morning, and the photos of Graham and Damon in them are insanely good. Damon gives Graham the fondest look I've ever seen, and my head is self-combusting. I didn't get to skim it however (you know how shopkeepers get - they don't like you reading stuff you haven't bought)

I love the band like alot. ;_;

Amongst all this, I got a Pass Plus (above average) on my Winter and Autumn project for College. Considering how awful I did in school, this is a definite WOO for me.

Urm. Happy holidays, flist! It might be another couple of months before I post with something again. Depends where my mood takes me. ;)

What Be Your Nerd Type?
Your Result: Drama Nerd

You sure do love the spotlight and probably have a very out-going and loud personality. Or not. That's just a stereotype, of course. Participation in the theatre is something to be very proud of. Whether you have a great voice for musicals, or astounding skills for dramas/comedies; keep up the good work. We need more entertainment these days that isn't television and video games (not that these things are bad, necessarily.)

Yeah... I can see that. I have no idea if I'm good at drama or anything (I've never been told), but alot of that fits about right. I'm definitely not the stereotype though; if you'd ever met me, you'd probably think I was far too quiet and reserved to have an interest such as drama.

The science/math nerd part is spot on though - I'm cursed for not being that very academic smart, sadly.

I'm going to London on the 22nd, and to which I thankfully miss my post-school presentation where they are giving out awards, because I will be on a train. Wahooo. I think I'm meeting an internet friend for a couple of hours after looking through galleries and the such - it's a college trip.

It is also my birthday on Tuesday. Or, as I like to call it, Present Day. That is the only day I will forget all my morals and act like my shoe size where I shout, "MINE MINE" at anything wrapped.

Time to do work now. I've been proscrastinating all day and gallivanting around with my friends on the seafront and I just need to get something done tonight so I can sleep easy at nights.

ETA: Or you know... later?

BABY BLUR )

D'aw. How so 1990's, Blur? I want to make banners of you all day long.

In relatively related news, I sort of love Damon Albarn pissing me about, no sarcasm intended. Is there gonna be a Gorillaz album, y/n? idk. idk. The bane of my fucking existence, that album.

I also found this little photograph while I was looking through folders. )

Laughing forever.

I swear I'll get [info]withaluminium updated with new things soon.

Everyone in Panic at the Disco are very attractive, especially JWalker.

This is bandom's fault. I need to buy Fever now and Pretty. Odd.

Whores and cheaters never sounded so good in music.

I couldn't be more into the Olympics.

But China could have done a whole lot better by not faking it, and keeping it over the eye of the media, but I guess it was inevitable really. It's a shame because I did love those footprint fireworks at the opening ceremony. Infact, I did love the ceremony and I will continue to decide that the whole thing was very real and that the whole world is a magical, glittering palace of Chinese culture.

Sighsighsigh.

I think Britain are doing quite good, which is very awesome for me. I always feel just that little bit patriotic when I'm watching things like this. It's a nice feeling.

Also. London, four more years. I've still got time to save some money and make new friends that will take me to the next Olympics.

PAY ME, COLLEGE.

You have not seen utter crack until you have been in the Gorillaz fandom, okay? For serious.

Those were the days fangirls held polls to ultimately decide whether 2D or Murdoc "should have their babies", and when I still thought reading slash about real people was so weird. Then there are the fake LJ Gorillaz accounts (which some in particular, were actually pulled off fantastically) which amused me to no end. And the brilliant fanart out there!

And that was just during the Demon Days era.

It upsets me to think that I haven't been in the presence of Damon and/or Jamie Hewlett's presence yet (although, my head might explode. And then Jamie might bitch about messing up his jacket. or something idk)

LIFE GOAL. LIFE GOAL. Jamie, call me. Damon, you too.

I need to upload some Gorillaz avatars, but I suppose Damon and his ex band will have to fill that void.

I've just had the mental image of Gerard singing Smack That by Akon on stage. WHAT.

I mean, I'd probably enjoy it through the barrage of tears and curling into a ball, but it might terrify some people. Gerard... singing Akon songs. Ahahaaa. I refuse to get over this.

This is what happens when you see that song ONCE on the TV and it never leaves you.

My Saturday is spent eating a massive bag of white chocolate buttons and internet. Bein' a hermit and things.

I need more space for icons.

In order to do that I need to buy an upgrade.

In order to get an update, I need money.

Which I am out of because I need a job. Desperately.

I have far too many My Chemical Romance icons.

But I just can't help it when they look adorable/awesome/like they always do and so I have to icon-ize them.

Especially when they look as pretty as Frank.

My keyboard is still sticky from when cola spilt ALL OVER IT.

I could not love Mikey Way any more than I do right now FOR WEARING A SHIRT WITH HIS BROTHER ON IT. Really, fandom. What? You're amazing.

I love the My Chemical Romance fandom too much.

It's Bert's birthday. Happy birthday, my favourite hobo. I shall honour it with his ava.

It's still only Monday. Argh.

I had an amazing dream last night.

It was about the Brothers Way, and they were dressed in their matching big, black fur coats on a deserted San Fransisco street. The background and wintry sky were all covered in a sort of cyan hue. It was nice. But here's the kicker; Gerard and Mikey were these models.
So, like, they were standing in these natural stances, or huddled together getting their photo shoot done. I'm pretty sure I was looking at it through the photographer's point of view.

It was fucking awesome. And then the first thing I thought about when I woke up this morning was why quite a few people in the music biz had started growing facial hair. Weird.

In reality, nothing special is happening. I stood up for something (hahaha. Not a regular occurrence) after somebody called a particular band I love very much 'sell outs', and with a very stupid reason to accompany it. That was on Monday and I still haven't got a response back from him yet. Hrm.

It's been a pretty dull week actually.

I CAN'T STOP watching the YouTube clip of Frank 'reeling' Gerard in at Projekt Revolution. I brought the thing up early this afternoon and it's still on my desktop bar. I'm also apprently starting to get 'affected' by that Gerard and Frank kiss. Yeah, that one. Fuck.

I'm starting to delve deep into the world of Frerard. The thing is though, I was never, ever into the pairing at all until now.

I'm starting to see what all the fuss is about.

About a week ago or something, I was going to make a lengthy post about my recent trip to London for Google. I started typing it out late at night, and just as I type the first word I immediately felt very tired, therefore I saved the little bit I wrote in my files and told myself I'd do it later.

That was the 21st November. And it's still there in my folders. Now this is a problem.

I'm exactly the same when I writing stories. I'd get halfway through a chapter, then sit there like a lemon before I think "screw this", and piss around. Really, it'd be an accomplishment in itself if I actually finished a story. I don't need hoodies for Christmas; I need motivation.

Well, I've been ill recently with something along the lines of a cold but a really bad one, so I've sort of just been milling around LiveJournal alot more. I swear, I starting to love this site more than I used to. It's the communities.

So my day? I had a shower. Oh, and maybe holed myself up in my room with unlimited internet access. I didn't get up until 2.45 this afternoon, and I have to go and look for jobs tomorrow. Urgh. The things I do to buy a My Chemical Romance hoody.

Yo, bizzles.

I've been a bad whore and neglected my Livejournal. Yes. I know; shock, horror, turmoil. I have sinned. I haven't been on here in like.. months.

So I decided to bleach these virtual walls of filth I call a journal and make some changes, like deleting my crappy posts for starters. I haven't finished yet. I'm busy loling at macros at the minute. I'll complete soon. Not to mention the HTML is making me all woozy.

I need sleep. She'll go in about an hour when she's good and ready with good book.

I promise I'll give my audience [haha which one's that? foo'] more entertaining and fufilling journal entries in future and such.

Peace.
